Casa Italia

Italian Food Gourmet

Opposite BigC in a shop house on the left hand side of the main road heading towards Fisherman’s Village, is a small Italian deli where you can buy fine processed meats, cheeses, olive oils and more, all imported fresh from Italy.

All the produce is top quality and made in Italy. It is jet-fresh and flown in three times a week via Bangkok, where they have their Head Office.

The Italian owner Daniele Santoni guarantees the freshness and the real Italian taste.

He supplies the Italian restaurants in Koh Samui and all the produce is kept in large professional cold storage units in the shop.

All the products arrive pre-cut to retain their freshness, so don’t be put off by the grand size of the cheeses and salami’s, as they can be cut to order.

Daniele is often found in the shop and is always available to advise and assist you in deciding what to buy. His Thai staff are also helpful and they will cut any amount you require from a 100grams upwards.

The list of scrumptious food items include Italian favourites such as Parma Ham (Aged 18 months), Mortadella Bologna, Salame Milano, Salsiccia Napoli Picante and fresh Mozzarella Pizza Del Casaro from Hua Hin in Thailand.

Also, Artichokes (Hearts or Roman type) in Oil Filotei, Balsamic Vinegar and a good selection of first press Extra Virgin Olive Oils.

Considering the high quality of the produce and the fact that it all comes from Italy the prices are reasonable and remember, you can order as little as a 100grams, but I expect you will be tempted to order much more.
